You can see that the glory days of the place are over, but there is an upscale shopping street. Very nice park or gardens. Hotel clean but also old.
Beds and mattresses would have to be new again.

I loved my warm room with bedroom. The staff was pleasant, competent all the time. The location was handy, not too far from St Peter's.

It was surely a good stay for one night. Many things to mention - everything was clean, decent food, pleasant views. The folks working here were efficient and amicable. The room was really perfect and compact, large beds. Could use an electric kettle, TV and a radio. Moreover, it was great to have Wi Fi.

We explored the British Motor Museum and caught a show at the Swan Theatre. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Don't expect a gourmet breakfast, but the bar has good deals on drinks.
There were quite a few stairs, which might be tough for some guests. Our room was also cold on arrival, and the heater situation wasn't ideal.
